Purrfectly Intertwined Aaron George and Dr Richa Srishti Preview Written using the Twine hyperfiction software, “Purrfectly Intertwined” is a digital poem that seeks to capture the quiet companionship offered by cats and the subtle emotional lessons they teach us about physical and mental abandonment. Cats are creatures that move between presence and distance, affection and independence, and the poem mirrors this rhythm through its interactive structure. Rather than presenting a complete text at the outset, the work is intentionally fragmented, with its stanzas broken into hyperlinks and several key lines initially absent. This design invites the reader to participate in the act of reconstruction, echoing the gradual process through which trust and understanding are built in human–animal relationships. The incomplete stanzas are meant to be approached one by one, encouraging a slow and reflective engagement before the missing lines are eventually restored and the full poem is revealed. Once the poem has been assembled, its sections remain non-linear and can be read in any order, allowing each reader to create a personal pathway through the text. In this way, the poem reflects the unpredictable yet comforting nature of feline companionship, where meaning emerges through moments of absence as much as through moments of closeness.
